Slice & Fi
About Slice & Fi
Dude, you awake? It's like, 11 PM but I just finished playing Slice & Fi and my brain is still buzzing. Seriously, I can't sleep thinking about this game.
Remember how you sent me that description? The one that said "math puzzle game that challenges you to master fractions!"? Yeah, that's total BS. It's like describing a rollercoaster as "a vehicle that goes up and down a track." Technically true, but completely misses the point.
Honestly, I almost didn't play it because of that. I thought it was gonna be some boring educational thing. But I started it, and the first few levels *were* kinda just slicing a pizza into halves and quarters for this little bouncy blob character named Fi. I was like, "Ugh, here we go."
But then! This level popped up, it was called "The Crumble Tower," and you had to slice a giant block of jelly *just right* so it would fall apart and Fi could roll through the gap at the bottom. It wasn't about fractions anymore, it was about timing and physics! Like, if you sliced too high, the top part would fall and block Fi. Too low, and the whole thing would just slide off. I spent like 20 minutes on that one level, and when I finally got it, the little *shing* sound when the jelly perfectly separated and Fi rolled through? So satisfying.
That's when it clicked. This game isn't about math, it's about being clever with a sword! You're basically building little Rube Goldberg machines with slices. Like, one time I had to slice a platform to make it tilt, so Fi would roll down it, then slice a wall to open a path, and then slice a *third* thing to make a bouncy mushroom appear *right* as Fi was about to fall into a pit. It's like Portal meets Fruit Ninja, but with this adorable, bouncy little blob.
I literally looked up and it was 2 AM. I was supposed to be in bed hours ago. I'm not usually into puzzle games, but this one is different. It's so creative how they make you use the slicing mechanic. You're not just dividing stuff, your literally shaping the world to help Fi. I already told my cousin Mark he *has* to download it. Your gonna love it, trust me. It's fun. Really, really fun.
