Master Mechanic's Puzzle Garage
About Master Mechanic's Puzzle Garage
Hey, you up? Dude, I cannot sleep. It's like 11 PM and my brain is still buzzing from that game, Master Mechanic's Puzzle Garage. You know how I told you that description I got was like, "casual simulation, fix windows, flat tires"? Yeah, that's like describing a gourmet burger as "meat between bread." Technically true, but totally misses the point.
I started playing it tonight, right? I thought I'd just swap a tire or something for Mr. Henderson's beat-up old truck. Easy peasy. But then the game was like, "Nah, your tire changer is broken, and you only have half a wrench, and the new tire is in a crate that needs a custom lever." I was like, "What in the actual heck?" I spent like 20 minutes just trying to figure out how to *get to* the tire, let alone fix it.
Honestly, at first I was a bit confused, like, is this even a car game? But then it clicked. It's not about being a mechanic, it's about being a *problem solver* with car parts. Like, you have to build little contraptions to get stuff done. There was this one bit where I had to use a broken engine block as a counterweight to lift a heavy door, and then use the door as a ramp to roll a battery. My brain was doing gymnastics! The little "ka-chunk" sound when you finally connect something right? So satisfying.
I don't usually like games where you have to think this hard, but this one just pulls you in. I looked up and it was like 2 AM. I was literally thinking about that stupid carburetor puzzle during my lunch break today. It's like a LEGO set mixed with an escape room, but for cars. You're not just fixing, your figuring out how to *make* the fix. You have to get creative with what you have. Like, you're not just replacing a broken headlight, your figuring out how to rewire a tail light to work as a headlight because you don't have the right part. And the little robot assistant, Sparky, makes these hilarious whirring noises when you mess up.
It's really good. Like, surprisingly good. I already told Sarah she has to try it. It's not boring at all, you actually want to keep playing because your brain is always trying to figure out the next weird solution. You gotta check it out. Seriously.
