OMG dude I just finished Aidan's Danger Dash and my brain is still buzzing at 11 PM. Seriously, I can't sleep. You know how someone described it to me? Like "an elf with a slingshot protecting a dragon from a villain." And like, technically that's true, but it's like describing pizza as "bread with toppings." It completely misses the point!
Honestly, I thought it was gonna be some generic platformer, right? But the second I started, I was hooked. The first level, "The Glimmering Glade," it just looked so pretty, all these little glowing mushrooms and stuff. And Aidan, he's not like, a super tough warrior elf. He's just this kid, and your slingshot isn't really for fighting. It's for like, hitting switches, or knocking down a beehive to distract some grumpy little "Grumble-gloops" so you can sneak past. It's really clever, like a puzzle game disguised as an adventure.
And the time travel thing? It's not just jumping back and forth. You find these "echo-stones" and when you use one, you see a faded version of what the area *used* to look like, or how it *will* look. Like in the "Sunken Library," I had to use an echo-stone to see where a bridge was before it crumbled, then figure out how to activate these old water flow runes to raise the water just enough to walk across the ghost bridge. It was so cool. I literally gasped when I figured that out.
I'm not usually into these types of games, your platformers and all, but this one is just different. It makes you feel smart, you know? Like you're actually figuring things out, not just mashing buttons. And Drakor, the dragon? It's not like you're rescuing a princess. Drakor is more like, the *spirit* of the land, and you're healing it by fixing these time paradoxes. It's kinda deep without being preachy.
I looked up and it was 2 AM last night, I swear. I told my sister Maya she HAS to play it. It's just so much fun, and it's got this weird charm to it. You should seriously check it out. It's really good.
