Honestly, when I first started, I was like, "Okay, just another endless runner, whatever." Died like five times on the first section, the "Whispering Bridge," just trying to jump over the floating ghost things. But then, on my sixth try, I noticed the blue phantoms glowed brighter right before they swooped. And I thought, what if... what if you don't *avoid* them? So I just went for it, timed a dash *through* one at its brightest point, and boom! It gave me this insane speed boost and launched me over the next three gaps without even jumping. My jaw literally dropped.
That's the thing! It's not just running and jumping, it's like a rhythm puzzle game in disguise. Your not just reacting, your *using* the phantoms, the traps, everything, in these super clever ways. Like, later on, in the "Sunken Crypt" part, there are these big slow Gloom Weavers that chase you. I thought you had to outrun them, but then I realized if you let one get *just* close enough, it casts this shadow that actually makes a temporary platform over the acid pits. It's totally counter-intuitive, but it changes everything.
I don't usually like these kinds of super-fast games, they stress me out. But this one, it's like, really satisfying when you figure out a new trick. The sound it makes when you perfectly chain three "shadow dashes" together? It's this little chime, so good. I meant to play for like 30 minutes and suddenly it was 1 AM. Kept replaying that one tricky jump over the "Spectral Spikes" in my head during my meeting today, lol.
