OMG, are you awake? I literally just finished playing Riddle Riot Puzzles and I can't sleep, my brain is still buzzing from it. Remember how Mark told us it was just like, silly trivia and dad jokes? He was SO wrong. Like, completely wrong. It's like describing a gourmet burger as "bread with meat." Technically true, but totally misses the point.
Honestly, when I first started, I thought, "Okay, another quiz game." But then the first question wasn't even a question. It was like, "Invent a secret handshake for a grumpy badger named Barnaby." And I had to *type out* the steps! I just typed "sniff twice, then a tiny paw tap" and the game totally animated it! Barnaby actually did it, then gave me a "Giggle Gem" for creativity. I was like, wait, what just happened?
It's not about knowing facts at all. It's about being weird and clever. There was one part where you had to distract a giant, sleepy snail named Sheldon, and the options were like "sing it a lullaby about cheese" or "tell it its shoelaces are untied." I picked the shoelaces one, and Sheldon just looked down at his non-existent feet, confused, and I got to sneak past. It was so dumb but so good.
I swear I only meant to play for like an hour, but I looked up and it was almost 2 AM. I totally lost track of time. It's like, every time you think you know how it works, it throws something completely new at you. Like, one stage you're answering riddles, and the next you're trying to draw a happy cloud with only three lines, and if your cloud isn't happy enough, it rains on your character and you lose a "Sparkle Point." I figured out if you make your cloud *too* happy, it floats away and you get a bonus!
It’s not just trivia, it’s like a choose-your-own-adventure but for your brain, and everything is kinda unhinged. You know I usually hate those super serious puzzle games, but this is different.
